Spintech Mufflers

I did a search and only came up with a few older posts.
I was thinking of trying some spintechs with my new 429 and was wondering if anyone else has tried them. I dont want an obnoxiously loud exhaust but do want it to have some sound to it.

Those mufflers sound pretty good but I'm more of a magnaflow guy. They are quite at idle no drone and sound sweet when you put the petal to the metal.

Is there a muffler that doesn't sound good on a large Ford V8. Pick something you like in your price range and provides the sound output you want. Usually larger muffler capacity equals less noise and resonance.

If you're worried about drone with a v8, especially a big block in these trucks, then you probably shouldn't be driving one. They weren't built to be quiet for the people that can't handle the sound of a v8. put some mufflers that allow you to hear the engine on it, and not quiet it out all the time except wot.

Spintechs should sound good, they sound very similar to flowmasters, which go well with these trucks.

I agree, my dad has some magnaflow raptors on his dodge. At idle and cruising you barely hear them but when you get on it it you almost think its straight piped. True dual 2.25 in front of the back tires.

not a waste of money, not everyone can afford to spend 70 or 80 bucks on a muffler

Just finished headers and duals on my stock 77 302. It was a complete used system and gave me a big boost in power but it has glass packs that are too loud for my taste. Money is an issue. Can anyone tell me about an inexpensive $40.00 ? each muffler. How about the thrush's ?

Probably got little dinky glasspacks or a short system. Helps to know a little about exhaust systems before purchasing.
