Ford Drops Way Down on Reliablitly List
"Ford's drop can also be attributed to problems with new technologies: the new MyFord Touch infotainment system and the new automated-manual transmission used in the Fiesta and Focus. Lincoln finished above Ford, although the freshened MKX, a cousin of the Edge, suffered from the MyLincoln Touch system. On the bright side, the Ford Fusion Hybrid sedan remained outstanding, and other Fusion versions were above average."

I've seen this story posted as "Ford reliability drops" but that is really a mischaracterization. It is more a case of customers not liking the dual clutch transmission and the touch screen system. The dual clutch transmission is realiable but it feels a bit different than an automatic at low speeds. I've driven several and since I own clutch and auto cars it doesn't bother me a bit, I don't even notice it. But for folks who have never driven a clutch it might seem a bit weird. I haven't used the MyTouch system.
