I have put a lot of new parts on this truck in the last year. It starts every time and runs well. No drips or leaks. It is quiet and the brakes are strong. It has the 302 and AOD transmission. The rear axle is a Sterling 10.25 with 3.73 gears. It is 2WD. This combination is about as good on gas as you can get in an older full size truck. It gets about 15-18 mpg on the highway. It has 123,000 miles. I have the title in hand. I would also be willing to trade for a Miata in decent condition.
What I have fixed and replaced:
Rebuilt the starter, new rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders, New battery wiring, new front springs (heavy duty springs), Poly bushings throughout the front suspension, new battery, upgraded stereo. Fluids have also been flushed and replaced all around. Also being an '86 it is emissions exempt here in WA. And I just renewed the registration so the tabs are good for another year.
