477 blown in '77 f900

I've got a 77 F900 tandem axle grain truck with the setback steering axle and the 477 motor. Well, this spring a connecting rod let go and damaged the block so it is unfixable. I have a 460 carbed sitti g around that runs great and isn't beig used. I was wondering if this would be a fairly simple swap, or will it be a complete PITA. Making/Re-using brackets for the front of the engine is no problem. Eve motor mounts wuld be ok. What I'm worried about is the bellhousing. It has the 3 range 13sp tranny in it with the low gears for the higher revving gas motor.

Any info would be great,

Thanks.

Bell pattern will be different.

"Lima" engines used in mediums would be a source for a bell that would work with your trans. 370s and 429s have the same bell pattern as your 460. According to some posts here, Roadranger 6610 and 6613 were available behind the 370/429s in the early '80s. Also mentioned was an SAE #2 adaptor.

What is the make and model of your trans?
