Do you cut the center out of your stock 2008 grille to install the 3 piece billet grille like below?

Will this work on the XL model black grille below like I have?

The grille you're showing is inserted into an FX-4 style grille.
They make billet inserts for the XL style - I have them in my Chrome XLT grille.



I think if you try to cut the XL, it'll make a mess of the plastic shroud/surround/whatever. Hope this helps...

Like said above, I wouldn't cut anything, use the 5 piece insert set.
