engine knock

hey people got my 2011 platnium with the 5.0 moter in september, last couple of weeks i have noticed that this engine has been knocking pretty badly, mostly on up hill climbs, slow rolling type hills and several times when i went to gas it. the manual suggests 87 octane but im wondering if there is a another issue going on here any suggestions?

eingine knock

last tank full i ran 93 octane no issues filled up today with 87 knocking is back thought this engine was designed to run on 87 and with all this knocking should i be worried about engine damage. also someone suggested i run the 87 with a bottle of octane booster dont feel too good about doing that

All of these truck engines are designed to run on 87. Are in a mountainous area?

Most likely it is a local area or distributor fuel quality issue- change brands or run 91 octane
