Truck Idling rough / misses at idle

So I replied to another thread and accidentally hijacked his thread so I'm starting my own. I have a 2003 F250 4x4 ccsb. My truck was missing slightly and after reading these forums, I replaced my plugs with Autolite platinums 2 weeks ago. Truck ran like a raped ape for a week. Then it started it all over again only worse. Now when I am sitting in traffic or at a light, it stalls and dies. If it doesnt die, and I get on it when traffic clears up, it acts like its flooding out. No power but eventually clears out and runs ok until I come to a stop again. After reading these forums, it sounds like my IAC is dirty. My PCV valve hose is also dry rotted on the outside and cracked. So this weekend, I will be replacing my pcv valve and hose and cleaning the IAC. I had the truck hooked up to a computer and it registered no codes. Nothing saying misfire or anything. Just taking a stab in the dark with the IAC and PCV valve and hose. Any other thoughts?

Clean your MAF sensor and disconnect negative terminal to erase the computer memory.

Maybe your EGR valve stuck open?

The IAC would be the next place I would pay attention to. You can clean the IAC but it may require replacing.

Are you absolutely sure your PCV hose is cracked? The 2003's have foam insulation wrapped around the pcv valve hose. The insulation cracking is very common. Remove the insulation and check the hose from the pcv valve to the intake.

I dodged the raindrops and took the IAC off and cleaned it with carb cleaner. It is moving freely now. Put it all back together about an hour later and the engine fired up and high idled like it should on a cold start. Took it for a test ride and no sputtering or missing. If it lasts a couple weeks, I will consider it fixed. Didnt service the PCV hose. It is a foam insulated hose. Thanks for the heads up
