Preventing wheel hop.

Preventing wheel hop.
Every now and then taking off from a light or such I feel the need for a little "tire-talk".
That is with my 95 150 300 5 spd. I think it's a 2.73 rear open diff.
short box.
Problem is, often I find when the wheel breaks loose the truck jumps and shudders like crazy, you'd think it'd shake your teeth out. Seems to get severe wheel hop or axel wind up. whatever you want to call it.
Anyone have any ideas how to prevent this?? I'm sure it can't be good for driveline components. I replaced U-joints this fall.

My 93 does the same thing. It even does it in the snow. I bought a set of bars from jc whitney. They bolt to the top of the u-bolt with a bar that goes up to the spring perch and bolt there. They were about $70 and you could make them. I just haven't put them on yet.
