C6???'s

Is there a difference between 2x4 and 4x4 C6 trannys? If so what are the components that are different? Can I turn a 2x4 into a 4x4 if have a broken 4x4 for donor parts??

I appreciate any and all help !

Yes you can do that. The tailshaft is the main difference. you should be able to swap the parts over just fine as long as you have a complete 4wd C6 to get them from.

Swapping requires a complete teardown. What parts are broken in the 4x4 trans?

The bell housing came apart in about 6 different pieces. So the case is shot.

Ok cool , I can get a 2x4 and tear it down swapping the tailshafts and tailhousings.
