Key Fob won't operate electric locks
#16
So mine quit working and I can not get it restarted ???
When I got the truck I bought a fob, programed as shown, worked fine.
BTW, Used the owners manual directions to program, they worked the first time !
Quit working, changed battery - no help and now can not get back into the reprogram mode eighter ??
Any ideas ??
Thanks

Sorry to bump a necrothread, but searching on how to program my 2000 F250 remote brought me here.
The key is: you must go from position '3' (lock) to position '2' (off) -- then cycle between '2' (off) and '1' (on) 8 times QUICKLY (less than 10 seconds total) ending on '1' (on) the 8th time. Locks will lock and unlock automatically to indicate you are in 'learning mode.'
Within 20 seconds hit one button on each remote you are programming (up to 4 remotes total). Each time you hit a button on a remote the locks will cycle once -- indicating that remote was accepted.
When done wait 20 seconds -- or turn the key back to '3' (lock). Locks will cycle once more to indicate the system is out of 'learn mode.'
Worked for my F250 7.4L just now.
