Bad injectors?

I have an 1988 f-250 with a fuel injected 460. I have changed the spark plugs. They were fouled out. I cleaned them first and put them back in. They fouled out again so I put new ones in. They fouled out too. When I cleaned the first ones the truck quit smoking. When I put new ones it also quit smoking. The smoke is fuel. My guess is fuel injectors. I also replaced the fuel regulator. No change. Have replaced the pump and lines. Can anyone help?

Can you describe the plug fouling? Snap a quick pic of the plugs ? When I replace BAD* plugs ( this may be a lil retentive) but I grab a piece of card board and poke 8 holes. Then pull them putting them in the hole it came out of the motor from. When your done you have a good picture of how the old mill is churning inside. Keeps things in order so you know whats going on and where in the block. Smoke + 8 bad plugs does not add up to 1 injector. I'd be looking in another direction.

K your on the right path..

Have you tried to pull codes? Off the top of my head I'ds toss a temp sensor at it. This being the O2 is good.

This site will give you test values click the sensor link on the right of the page.

Go here.... Ford Fuel Injection » How To Run a Self-Test and follow the directions, post up the codes that you get. Also check fuel pressure because if you have a problem with the selector valve or have a blocked return line pressure will be too high and the regulator won't correct for it.

Does it have fresh gas?

The injectors in my 89 f150 does not like old gas (they hang up)

RJM does sell a injector service kit ( 8 injectors) for $20.RJM Injection Tech — Fuel Injector Service Kit

It does but am not sure what all was in it before. I dropped some Lucas fuel injector cleaner in it too. Didn't help.

Is it hard to start or can you just hit the key and it fire right up?

And how the power? Does it feel slow?

I ran it out of gas and it is a little harder to start. Haven't been able to drive it yet. Have been working to get the distributor set. Have no markings to set it by
