Where to start for added power to my '01 F350 7.3
I am on a budget, with that said I can only add a few small things at a time, but I would rather buy quality than quantity.
So where do I start?
Air intake? Exhaust? idk
Saw some of ya'll talking about the Riffraff 6637 Air intake, did ya'll get that with or without the "Big Boost" filter?
Thanks!

An intake and exhaust are great starts. Don't expect huge power difference, but they are good foundations to increasing HP. After that look at gauges, then get a switchable chip like a DP Tuner or TS chip.
You need to figure out what you want out of your truck though. That makes a difference in how you get there.

I want torque, then power. When I pull trailers I dont like them to be holding me back.
I'm not looking to be taking it to the track so I'm not looking for anything to excessive, I just want a little better than stock, it has alot of weight on the truck full time its my everyday driver and service truck.
But I love customizing and modifying my trucks so sometimes I just do things to the truck for looks and not so much because its what I "need"
Its a flatbed with a welder/generator, air compressor, full size truck toolbox, 2 toolboxes underneath, and a 12 drawer (i think) rolloaway tool chest full of tools (took the wheels off and mounted it to the truck), just to give ya'll an idea what I'm talking about when I say its heavy.
wheres the best place to get gauges? And is that something can hook up easily in my garage or do I need to take it somewhere? I have little electrical experience.

To achieve the best performance from your hauler set up, I would recommend a few things:
1) Get yourself a set of good gauges. At the minimum, get an EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) gauge. You should get a transmission gauge temp gauge too.
Those gauges will let you know if anything is going wrong. I prefer the 3 Gauge Pillar Package from Clay at Riffraff diesel. But if you go with some brands cheaper than ISSPRO you can get a kit cheaper, but I love my ISSPRO, and they are made in the USA.
(Riffraff Diesel: RDP Triple Gauge Kit)
2) Next, I would suggest a new tuner. You dont NEED a tuner, but if youre going to have one get a good one! Sure EDGE is an ok tuner, but it is what we call "off the shelf" meaning it has a generic tune to work with a wide range of trucks. For a good tuner I would recommend DP Tuner (Diesel tuning products for Ford PowerStroke). They are great to work with, and have many years of experience with these trucks. I would give them a call and they can recommend some things for you, or you can order through their website.
The people at DP Tuner and Riffraff Diesel are both active members of this forum, so customer service is second to none.
That total package is a little pricey, but that's the cost of doing things right. Consider it an investment.
