If I'm not mistaken, any kind of "strobe" is illegal on a non-municipal vehicle.
Though I'm going to violate that myself since I have four strobes to shove into the headlight/taillight housings. But, I don't intend to use them on the road and instead, only when parked at job sites.
Seems the extra visibility is necessary... not everyone can see a big white crewcab sitting in the sun and... drive into it.
