94 Diesel

I know that 94 was a year that there was multiple choices in diesel engine for the F350. The IDI 7.3 n/a, the IDI 7.3 w/turbo and the 7.3 powerstroke. I am looking at a 94 that has what the CL ad calls a 7.3 diesel. Does anyone know the odds on which engine I will be looking at? I mean like 7.3 n/a-55%, 7.3 w/turbo-33% and 7.3 powerstroke-12%?

Any such info would be great. It is gonna be Tuesday of next week before I can go look at it in person.

33.3% chance of it being one of the three. Call/Email the seller and find out for sure.

At least see if they can give you the VIN number so you can find out that much if they aren't sure right off the bat.

I e-mailed and called seller. Got the woman of the house both times. She doesn't know. He is supposed to call me back tomorrow. Just thought I would check.

O yea, forgot to add. If it is an auto trans then it can NOT be a powerstroke. Powerstrokes in 94 ONLY came with a 5 speed. But the IDI and IDIT came with both

It is a n/a IDI. It has 292k miles. Injectors replaced at 280k. Trans rebuilt at 275k. I saw the papers on the rebuild. It is a farm truck so it is in rougher shape than I was looking for and it is $5500. I think I will pass.

That sounds a bit steep for what you described. Good choice to pass on it.

ouch.he had the E40D rebuilt (is it an auto? ) and only got 17k miles on it.
he should have just tossed another used trans in the old gal.
he's trying to get some return on the trans $. unfortunately,it's not going to happen in that truck.

you can find better trucks in NC all day long for less money.

It is a crew cab 4x4 with a flat bed, but to me not a $5500 crew cab 4x4 flatbed.
