so the other day I was runnin up a slight hill at about half throttle, unloaded and it sounded like the turbo coughed or "farted" and spit a couple of puffs of black smoke for a second. it did this twice on two seperate occasions, I dissmissed it as the turbo veins cycling as the truck sat for a week without being started. ever since then I feel like iv lost a little bit of power, and I cant get over 11 MPG at all,

EOT/ECT spread has been a little more than usual actually been around 12 to 14 degree diff WITHOUT romping on her thats cruising speed 65.

only work thats been done that I know of is there was a low boost code a year ago which they replaced one of the intake boots that was leaking.

I want to say yes its gotten louder. I also noticed it sounds like my valves a more chattery (and inconsistant) when driving. I think Im going to send it in.

I asked for an Oasis report which they only printed off the top section that has the vehicle info and down to the campaign part. iunno seemed shady it said nothing about the ECU flash thats noted on the ford sticker for mods that is under the hood.

Jesse mine did same thing i think sounded kind of like a back fire but quieter then would let out a puff of black smoke, mine did it when i would hit the peddle then let off . It ended up being number 2 injector . I also ask on here about the fart and puff but never got a answer.

I think a 100.00 is worth getting some new injectors yea? LMAO Im going to call today and see how long ill be without a truck..

 

Jesse it finally did throw two codes after i replaced the ficm. but when it first started it ran like sh-t and no codes.
