I enjoy when you post pictures of your build. You have a very unique build which is very interesting to see as it progress's.

 

AWESOME BUILD!!! I think you should slam a t-case under it and a 4x4 axle up front. I might have to come check this thing out as im in Mass.

 

You are welcome to come by anytime, but be sure to wear some clothes you dont care about. You might find your self getting handed a wrench, or a sander, or some other tool.

 

Excellent project! and excellent documentation of what you are doing.

Thats no problem, ive got plenty of old work pants and t shirts. this is my normal wardrobe!!

And I took my 78 F250 for its first long drive, 20+ mile round trip to work and to the Friday night Cruise in Cumberland RI.

We had a productive couple of weekends.

Here is the progress!


Last door hem patch welded, ground and ready to go.






Being a crew cab I needed to install another dome light bracket, so while recycling the old front to rear roof brackets from my two cabs I installed the second dome light bracket from the original cab. Flattend it, chopped up the bows, and braced everything together.







We had some rot to contend with on the front drip rail/roof area.







All patched up using a patch from the donor second cab.











Mudded and ready for primer.

I had to patch up a hole on one side of my '73 cab on the roof near the rain gutter. It took a bit of fiddling around for me to get it looking good enough. Your roof looks great! Keep the posts coming. This is a very unique build.

 

Looking good Tom. I need that same work done to my excursion at the windshield roof intersection. Grr
