WIRING MOD - FOGLIGHTS ON WITH HI-BEAMS
there was a thread around about 5yrs ago and I performed a mod on my 06 to cause foglights to remain on with high beams.
Does anyone know if this works on a 2011? As I recall, had to bend a pin on a relay and bring a ground to it.
Anybody done this on a 2011 and would you have a link to the instructions?
Misplaced it.

You could certainly do it but it's not like the old Bambi mod. Everything is controlled by some smart box or something now. But you could have the high beam switch run a relay to power the fogs with a diode so the fogs don't power the highs. Unless someone came up with something better in the last two years? Programmer maybe? I don't know I haven't been too active since the new car smell went away.

Yeah - the smart junction box controls all power to the headlights and fogs. I've yet to read any successful 09+ bambi mods.
IMHO you'd be better off adding a legal set of after-market lights. Check your state laws for the definition of 'legal'.
FYI in most states six, operating forward-facing lamps (highbeams are considered four, fogs are another two) is illegal.
