In all honesty, you can't eff up satin! Now when I painted the roof of my truck, I did it in the wind, bad idea.

lol yea...I had an old Aerostar that me and a buddy did a flat black Rattle-can job on. It came out pretty good, but you could tell what side we started on and where we finished. There was a lil tiger striping at first then it all smoothed out. but it wasnt bad for a $26 job for paint and supplies. i found the satin much easier to work with...plus my skills have improved a bit lol.

Started as this

And ended up:

But before I get carried away lol

Drivetrain Upgrades

My drivetrain combo being the 351w, C6 and BW1356(manual)

Tcase: was recently apart, could tell by the non-factory RTV all over it lol, everything was nice and tight, always shifted good. So I left it alone

C6: E4OD 1st gear, HD(Towtruck) Clutchdrum(holds extra set of frictions and steels), Kevlar Racing bands, and Redline Frictions and Steels, new Modulator, Shift Kit, Already had a Deep non-finned aluminum pan, 11in HD 2000rpm converter

351w: New crank balanced, stock stroke, Bored .040 over, Rods balanced and lightened w/ ARP bolts, Keith Black Forged Pistons w/ 4-valve relief, Decked block, Double roller timing chain, Comp Cam Hydro Flat Tappet(see cam card pic)
Heads: Paid $300 for a set of 93 Lightning GT40s that already had been ported and polished, .194 and .160? valves, and Crane double valve springs...Had them check out, had to replace one bent valve, had them milled and springs shimmed and I believe they did all the valve guides. Using new stock style pushrods and rockers, also had some bowl work
Intake and carb: Using my Weiand Stealth that has been on the truck, reusing the carb spacer, The Edelbrock 600 4bbl elec. choke...possibly down the road will try the Holley Truck Avenger 670cfm.
Ignition: MSD 6A box, with a MSD dizzy and Blaster II coil.
Exhaust: will be Full-lenght Hedman Elite headers, 2.5in all the way back, Dynomax Ultra-Flow mufflers, and hopefully will be able to squeeze in cutouts(Make the neighbors really love me)

Headers

Finally got my headers....and Installed them lol. Looks like itll be too tight for true 2.5 duals I wanted. Oh well...Plan B...Single 3in. The headers were a lil snug, but look great...but kinda kill my sleeper look.

Build is coming along very nicely, wish I had some of those parts. Is that line coming off your oil fill to be supposed to be bent like that?

So do you have any pictures of the reefer you found in the truck? All my vehicles previous owners have left behind is beer cans, pens, gum, occasional loose change, and condom wrappers. Not even a lousy pack of cigarettes.

Edge--No, Im pretty sure it isnt supposed to be bent like it is....but I have them on just to keep the valvetrain covered for now until I get the covers I want

Baron--No, didnt think of that at the time...Me and my buddies got quite a laugh outta it tho. Quite a surprise lol But not the craziest things Ive came across in a vehicle...Used to work at a major Auto Auction.

Huggy--Thanks, It took some time and effort, but it def was worth it.
