Shak-N-Bake thanks for replying again. I havent ben on the forum since last evening had a deth in the family and the wake was today. But in answer to the year of truck, It's a 2002 and there is no fuse block under the hood. My thought on this: After taking some time away from the issue, I think and corect me if I am mistaken;i beleive the problem lies in the P C M. Maby somehow I damaged it when installing the G P R. I can,t remember doing anything that would damage it thow. The reason I defalt to this conclusion is because My scan tool and thr hand held superchips programmer, Both of wich connect through the O B D Portcan not comunicate with the P C M. Mark

 

Have you checked the fuse? The OBD port takes power from the same fuse as the dash aux socket IIRC check for a blown fuse then try communication again a blown PCM is very unlikely!

Jim, I checked all fuses again an thry all are good. what is your thought about the Clicking I D M relay? does the P C M allow power for that relay thus powering the I D M?

Yes the IDM relay can be swapped for the one next to it!
