Yeah, kind of, at least with the Tacoma. It's in a lower category and is, of course, cheaper. Why not compare a Tundra or a Titan to the Raptor ?

The Raptor is actually in its own category but the Ram is of equal merits, though alot more expensive.

Agree, but the Ram is all aftermarket stuff. Do that to the Taco and it will run fast over rough ground, but it's still not in the same class as the Raptor.

If I read that correctly, the only meaningful mod to the Taco was tires. No suspension work.

there is no real competition for a raptor currently

there is, the ram runner is just about in the same class as the raptor. but all the ram runner is a your basic ram truck modifed. as the raptor is just an f150 completely OVERHUALED and you can by off the lot as it being the best out there. you have to mod the runner some after you buy it

It's kinda like when the SVT Lightning was around and people tried comparing it to the Silverado SS. Very different trucks. The Silverado was still a truck first and foremost. the Lightning lost a good portion of its payload and utility, but was considerably faster.
