PRW roller rockers $200!

This is a new company for me. Has anyone used them? Are they straight from China ... anodized plastic?

I'd like to get some info. I see they have them listed in 1.6 ratio for bbc, 3/8 or 7/16" shaft, for $200.

Wow, that's a fantastic price.

I did some internet searches on them and it was a forum vs. wary people, but the people who tried them had no problem with them at all.

I have the 1.7's but they make me nervous since I nearly sucked a valve. If I do use these, or any other roller rocker, I think I'll install guide plates.

Does anyone know where I could get them for a 300? I know there is a kit from IIRC Comp, that allows one to convert from the pedestal type to studs, but ....

I have intsalled it on my 90 cyl head and it all works just fine. Crane part number 36655-16 will give you 3/8 studs and guideplate for 5/16 pushrods. If you go this route hardened pushrods are not required becuse the kit has nylon inserts in the guidplates. I had to mix a couple of kits on mine cause I needed 7/16 studs for BBC rockers I already had. It is best for long life of the nylon inserts if you polish the pushrods to make sure there are no burrs on them. This is easy to do in a drill.
This conversion kit will also make your valvtrain adjustable.

And I guess I answered my own question.

I have some free time coming up, during which I need to park the truck and rebuild my 'self applying' brakes, and change the cam. If it is not too expensive I'll go with a custom Isky grind, lope, lope. I'd also like to remove the head, swap in S.I. valves the proper length, polish the chambers, and finish cleaning up the runners, and removing those ridges shrouding my valves.
