In the past I have run Nitto Terra Grappler's. They have been good to me in Alaska in the snow, mud and backcountry.

Does the 285 fit without a lift? Does it rub on the front springs?

Yeahhh, I'd have to dispute that. It's not the best mud tire, I already posted that, but it's not bad. Maybe that weak kneed V6 just doesnt have enough nads to spin the tread clean.

Mine have seen plenty of street time and I have never chunked a tire, not even a little bit.

I agree. And having run both on my Jeep AND my SD I can say this.

On the SD it is an excellent tire, albeit loud on the highway. The stiff sidewalls handle heavy loads and towing well, and they off road great. When you air them down, you get a nice footprint due to the weight of the truck.

On my Jeep they were just "OK". The sidewall was way too stiff and the Jeep didn't have enough weight to push a good footprint when aired down. I ended up taking them off my Jeep, but they're still on my SD.

Just my 2 cents, but to me they're a FAR better tire on a big, heavy SD than they are on a Jeep.

And yes, they clear mud just fine, especially in a 4 wheel spin.

Another vote for the Revos. I put them on the 2wd Rams at work as well as my own personal vehicles. I was happy when Bridgestone decided to make the Revo in a 20" version for the wheels I have now.

yes it fits, no rubbing issues at all. essentially it is a 32x11.5 tire although actual measurement puts it closer to a 33". fills the wheelwells nicely.

Just picked up 4 Goodyear Silent Armor 305/70R16 D tires. With wheels, which were Rhino/Line-x'd. Which they did over the wheel weights, so the next set of tires will make the rims look dumb after they are balanced. Best part is that they are almost 2" wider than the tires I have now. They are D tires, but I don't haul big stuff. They came with the center caps, but no lug nuts, the wheels I have already are aluminum so that wasn't a big deal to me.

Two are at 25% life and the other 2 around 40% I would guess.

So I have a little buyers remorse, How much should I have paid for 4 ok tires and some rims?
