Noob here
I've purchased a 2008 F350 6.4L 4x4 CC SRW.
I installed a AFE 4" Stainless pipe from downpipe to OEM muffler that deletes the Cat & Filter
I Installed a Superchips Economy setting & deleted the DPFE & EGR

I like the Deep Tone from the Stock Muffler now, but HATE the SPEWING / BLOWING Air noise from the Turbo

I dont tow & ONLY looking for Better Fuel Mileage.

My 1996 F350 7.3L has a 3" Turbo Down Pipe & the Cat deleted with a MBRP #M91031 4" Muffler & it Doesn't make this noise at all.

I am told the Small Stock 6.4L Muffler isn't restricted enough AFTER removing the Cat & Filter

Any Help or suggestions appreciated

 

Without the dpf, you will have the jet turbo sound.

You can put a real muffler in there too. That stock "muffler" is more or less just a can. U can look right through it.

I may add a MBRP Muffler in place of the Stocker.

Any muffler that is a straight flow thru design is like that, to where you can look right thru it. If it is not a flow thru design it will be bigger and you wouldnt be able to see thru it.

 

Might want to be careful with that superchips. Watch your oil levels and your EGT's

I'm not towing & Im very easy on the truck so I'm hoping no problems ...
