I picked up this truck oil pan the other day at a swap meet. It appears to have the original green paint on it (there is no other paint under it for sure). It's much darker than the Detroit Diesel Alpine green most often considered close to original. Does this look like any of yours?

I don't want to hijack your thread, but I have a pan just like this (except no paint) and I was wondering the purpose of the bracket on the bottom at the rear?
That green is very much like the color that was on the 239 in my '53 F-100 when I bought it years ago. The engine was a factory authorized rebuild. I didn't know for many years that it was an incorrect color. I now have (nearly) the proper pale milky green.

I wonder if the pale milky green color is the same color used on 52/53 215 I6 engines.
