Anyone use Timbrens with no gap?

I know people sometimes want softer rides in "unloaded" conditions but I'm really OK if it doesn't ride like a caddy,,,its a truck.

That said, have any of you installed Timbrens in the rear right on the block ears with no gap? Here's my issue: I'd like the truck bed to sit level (is about 1" difference with 1/2 tank of gas and its a new truck) and I'd like to raise it about and inch. So, I'm thinking of using the Timbrens with the shim spacer to basically stabilize the rear and raise it a touch.

I typically carry construction equipment in the bed and occasionally tow a trailer with a bobcat or other similar stuff so I am interested in the benefit of the load boosters for their intended purpose as well.

Anyone have this setup?

I have them Cause I carry a sander in the winter...I have an inch I think between..
They work great..Should have them in there stock..I wouldn't do what you want I don't think you'll get good results IMO..I think you'll get some bouncing feeling...I get that when I have say 600 lbs in there..Kinda bounces off the stops..Try it!!!

I think you would be better of putting in a set of airbags. That way you can adjust the level of the truck and ride quality..

It could be done and would work, but ooof..... If you have anything less than a ton of payload in the bed it would have very, very little suspension compliance. One of my kidneys screamed just thinking about it.

I have a feeling that's going to be the case. Maybe helper springs and timbrens set at 1".

I have airbags on my F450 and I inflate them to 50 psi driving empty, or 120 psi with 9000 lb load. The airbags make for much better ride quality loaded or not.

Mine rides like stock when empty and takes all the weight i can put in there. No need to bother with air or leaks or the like plus timbrens come with lifetime warr. I like simple..
