Center rear seat (2nd row) won't fold. 2008 Ford Expedition

Any troubleshooting ideas? The "cargo latch" will not release the seat. We sprayed the mechanism under the seat with silicone spray. Still no luck!

I had the same problem. I shook the seat back and forth as I lifted the handle and got it to go after a while. I then lubed up all I could find.

Thx Berry. Were you having trouble with the 2nd row, center? That middle seat won't shake! It is frozen in the upright position.

yeah. I had to push the center back, back and forth while really pulling up on the handle. It took a while but it finally unlatched. After I greased all I could find it seems to work ok.

Hey Berry! Sorry that I didn't get back to you sooner. You were right! It took a bit of muscle and determination...but I was able to get the seat to fold! It's working fine now. Thank you! I owe you lunch!

I have the same problem. The next time I mess with it I'll lube it.
