Does anyone know if the fan shroud from a V8 Bronco is the same as a inline 6 ?? Mine was MIA when we bought it....can't locate a 4.9 L one in the boneyard....it looks like it would work......the temp creeps up on hot days with the AC on during city driving....I suspect the missing shroud is the problem.....no issues any other time...

 

Haven't measured it yet but I'm hoping the V8 shroud for the "Super cooling" radiator will work with the 4.9 myself. I intend to keep the enormous 4-core super cooling unit that was in my 92 with the 5.0 and tow package with the 4.9 that is going in.

 

They weren't the same on my V8 F250 vs. the 300 Bronco. The 300 is longer so the shroud doesn't extend back as far into the engine bay.

 

That part I can deal with....little trim job can take care of that ......as long as it fits longwise and centers right on the fan.
