6 speed clutch pedal noise
I went and looked at a Superduty today with a 6 speed. It runs pretty good besides the fact that it needs glow plugs and won't start without being plugged in.
My question is the clutch pedal was really noisy and squeaked when pushing it in and out. What would be the causes and fixes of such a thing? Is it an easy fix? I am an auto guy so I know next to nothing about this issue.
Also, the Ebrake light stayed on until you grabbed the handle and lifted up on the pedal. Is that something that can be fixed easily as well?

not sure about "squeek" in the pedal, but, having to lift pedal up to turn ebrake light off, is an indication that the cable/s are stretched/going bad, or the front cable is not "clipped" into their perspective holes. One being at the base of the floorboard, under the pedal, and the other being in a hole, where the drivers side cab bushing is...

Cool Thanks for that.
The squeak in the clutch pedal sounds like the one in this video. If you have any thoughts, I'd appreciate that...

It is probably just the spring... mine does the same thing i hasve learned to ignore it since lube hasnt fixed it. lol and im lazy.
Timmyboy has the right idea on the parking brake cable thing. Not a hard fix just have to figure out where the issue actually is and replace whatever needs replacing.

Awesome, Thanks for the information guys. Sounds like it isn't a large issue that needs attention right away.
The guy is asking 7700 for this truck. Its a 2000 crew cab long bed 6 speed. 144k miles. The only thing I am having a hard time with is this...
Other than that, the mileage is great and the rest of the truck looks good. Has a couple other little things that need fixed but nothing else major...
