bed floor rusted out

well I got the truck I bought off ebay looks good except they must have had a flat bed on it and when the got rid of it the just put a box on it the floor on the bed is rusted out completely I mean the sheet metal the stringers look good but the floor is gone it had a bed liner in it I want to know if you can get new floor replacement panels

Call your dealer on new panels. Also consider finding an older/junkyard bed with a good floor and cutting that out. If the rib pattern is the same, you could even use an older pre-Super Duty Ford bed for this.

Not that of an unusual situation with a plastic bed liner. The plastic tub moves around wearing off the paint and the panels rust fast. When we had to get used pickups for test trucks we found this situation often.

If you put on another bed and still want to use the liner, check out one of the albums I have in my facebook page noted below. By putting a cushion between the liner and metal you can prevent this from happening.

Plastic liners. My idi has one and it rusted out a huge section. My other truck has none and i just keep the rusty ish spots painted and its great.

I would think it would be quicker and less work to find a used box and replace the whole thing. But then again I am not proficient welding

Swapping another bed on is the most bang for the least buck, in the quickest amount of time, especially if you find one in the correct color.
