need advice on factory steel rims.
finally decided to go with 255/85/r16's (33"s) on my 63 f250. anyone know what factory appearing steel rims will run these tires. not sure but i think i need a 6.5 bolt pattern with a 6.5"minimum rim width. pblm being my 63 rims are split rims on the front and 16.5"s on the back so i'm out of luck there. are there any after marketproducers that make the factory looking steel rims?
thanks

The width is measured from inside to inside flange, not from outside to outside lip.
Stay away from Camper Special wheels, they're 6.75" x 9.75" use almost impossible to find today 9.50-16 tires.
IF you want to know what sizes 1990 and later are...lemme know, but I'm not sure these wheels will fit.

Some 1973/89's are 16" x 5.5" some are 16" x 6" / Be aware that Ford parts catalogs measure wheels differently than the general public does.

SGettin,
I think your counter man is thinking of Chebbie rims.
My Rule-of-Thumb:
Chevy Dana 60= Small Hub Center
Ford Dana 60= Medium size Hub Center
Dodge Dana 60=Large size Hub
So, I'd be looking for rims off a Dodge or a Ford with a Dana 60 rear.
Dodge rims will fit the Dodge, Ford and Chevy; Ford rims fit the Ford and Chevy; and Chevy rims only fit the Chevy.... however, stuff built in the 90's and newer IDK.....
