double cardan joint
Did some searching on this site and usually find exactly what I'm looking for in great detail, but on this particular subject I didn't get a definative answer on replacing/rebuilding the cardan joint.
Here's a quote I found from 5.4 to Freedom that explains the cardan joint:
"As most of us know, our front drive shaft contains 3 sealed U-Joints. 1 at the axle end, and 2 at the transfer case end inside a double cardan joint. However within the double cardan joint (inside the casting, between the 2 u-joints) the is a centering ball... essentially a mini-ball joint with needle bearings inside it."
From what I've read, you can buy the rebuild parts, but no one concluded on it's out come! If it was easy to press the ball in or not.
Anyone do this? If so, is it easy enough for the DIY'er or should I go to a drive shaft shop?
Input appreciated!!

Thanks!
