How cool is this....

I'm driving around town and I stop at a gas station, I park, and next to me is a 97 F-150 exactly like mine except it wasn't a Lariat, and it had something that I thought was very cool. It had a sunroof, I'm guessing custom job, but still cool. I did an extensive search on the net in hopes of finding a kit, but to no surprise, nobody offers one, which is understandable. I was curious if anyone here had that done and maybe could give me a price to work with when I go to this custom shop later this week. Later

Around the Chicago area, there are places that will install sunroofs. Can't remember the name of the places, but they do window tinting as well. I just got a 2003 f150 xlt with the power moonroof, and I love it! It is like having a convertable....sort of.

Also, check out acmetruckparts.com

They sell sunroofs. You might be able to buy one, and have some garage install it for ya!

Good luck!

I also have an '03 F-150 with a factory installed power moonroof and I just love it!

Two of the bigger aftermaket ones that I have seen installed around me are either ASC or Webasto. Here is a site I found in Texas that says they sell and install both of those brands.

Yeah, I like those ones that just manually open up, affordable and look good. My only problem is, how easy are they to seal correctly? I don't want to drive in the rain and my moonroof is leaking all over my leather seats, ya know? Just curious, and yeah I will have a garage install it, luckily there are several places in town that will do it. Thanks.
