I sand blasted the hell outta mine. The major structural parts were still ok. So I just painted it. Has a couple of holes in non-important areas, but at least they won't rust anymore.

Unfortunately , sand blasting removes the coating that kept it from rusting for as long as it did ...

When it was rusted like mine, there was no coating anymore to keep it from rusting. BUT... there is now! Two coats of good rust primer, and two coats of nice shinny gloss black.

I thought about cutting some sections out and welding in steel, but like I said, the structural parts were solid.

Without A/C

I'm finding the same thing... I need new core support. Local wrecker said they had one come get it for $150. Drove 40mi to get there and the whole front of that truck was cut out, hence no support.

Aftermarket I'm seeing only the non A/C version. This doesn't make any sense to me since most of these trucks had A/C. Anyone know the difference between this commonly available aftermarket model without A/C and what we need?

Jeeze! I know a junkyard that has tons of them. Maybe I'll buy them all, sand blast them, paint them and sell them.

I'm up in Maine and just paid $275 for a support from AZ. I found it on craigslist from a guy that heads out west to get parts and bring them back. This one was from a deal that fell through. Good luck.

Figures thought I'd get lucky im putting a 97 powerstroke in a 95 gasser and I'm trying to figure out what to do about a rad/core support I have a rad but I don't have any Welding skills or a welder so I couldn't do any custom work or repair and 800 is a little expensive for just a core support

Where are you even finding one for 800? No ford dealer has any. I checked my local ford dealers they all said they are not available. I would like to find a rust free support but haven't had any luck yet .
