Spruced up the garage (for the truck, of course) VIDEO

Just couldn't stand the messy concrete floor in the garage any more. The truck deserved better! Here's what I did:

Of course someone in the business would pick that up. I had some thin-set under the stairs that I troweled into the joint. Cams weren't on for that part...

So, is your garage L-shaped?

Very nice job, by the way - that looked like a lot of work!

HOLY SMOKES! Thats a heck of a "garage". One of these days....

Well, one of these days I want to make a lot of things happen. I doubt I will ever have a garage that nice, but I'd like to have a nice big barn/garage with a lift and a wood/machine shop.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice Job!
I did something similar a few years ago. The problem is now I find myself having to clean the garage a lot more ...........the nicer you make it, the nicer you have to keep it. Damned OCD.........it wears you out.
I too put my wife to work on it

Nicely done...the video...and the flooring.

So would you do tiles again or an epoxy?

My truck is parked in a 40x68 barn and I havent finished the concrete area where it parks, I was thinking of an epoxy paint.

It is L-shaped. Space for three cars but we keep the kid's car on the side of the house... where it belongs. They have to learn how to scrape snow off the car to appreciate the good things.

Funny how the girls actually enjoy participating on this kind of stuff. Any time I'm improving the house, they're with me. That was Megan, by the way. My youngest daughter almost 15. She helped me with the door seal mod.

I really like the looks of the tile but I am struggling a bit with them moving around. I have to pull up and re-set a couple of more tiles in another place. I'm going to find some hard setting adhesive for the vulnerable spots but for now I'm just driving up onto those boards.

Overall it is just soooooo nice to walk out into the garage in socks or bare feet to get something out of the fridge or freezer. It also cleans up really easily with a damp mop. It is nice.
