I've thought about that one, but my cherry picker won't reach that high. Also, if any of you have pics....please post. Thanks Goobzilla for the quick response.

while i used a cherry picker to lift mine off, one way that might work if the cab is stripped and the frame is able to roll is to put some 2x4's or 2x6' under the cab then lift it high enough to clear the frame and roll the frame out from underneath. i would lift the cab up and then support the ends of the boards on either some drums or sawhorses. one person might even be able to do it this way as you only have to lift one side at a time. secure the cab to the boards with some lag bolts so they don't move.

that is my idea.

I took the glass out, and put a 4x4 thru the window spaces, then used the top side of my engine hoist to lift the cab up and swing it around.. only a couple 100 lbs

Like Mike said, If your chassis is a roller, you don't need to get it all up in the air at once; you raise a corner, crib it, until it's supported by boards straddling the frame, then roll the frame out.

I used the car lift the for the removal. Careful...the cab is front heavy & will want to lean forward.

For installation I used the 5 friends and two 6-packs method.

I took my 48 Panel body off the frame by myself using the cribbing method - I also took the wheels off and set the brake drums on Harbor Freight furniture dollies

I third that. The 4x4 I used had to be as far forward in the door openings as I could get it. I also used a cinder block inside and all the way back/center to level it out. I had some other crap in there too, but I can't tell ya what.(can't remember now.)

Like some of the others, I used my engine hoist for cab lifts on my current '41 project. I too needed to maximize the height of the lift. So I used a pair of 12" long 2x6's sandwiched on either side of the main lift arm (with a 1/2" bolt securing it to the arm) and attached to a pair of 2x4's that span the width of the cab. The added height helped and I adjusted (shortened) the main lift arm a notch to gave a more stable lift of the cab. Very handy ... no more "cab lift parties" required.

Same here. My first garage had a dirt floor, so I've been where many are.
