electric fans ??
i have a 83 f150 im building that im putting a 351 w in . I am planning on using electric fans ,but i don not know how many cfms i need to be pulling currently i have a all aluminum 3 core radiator and two 9inch fans that are said to produce 1550 cfms will this be enough .but i also heard you need 10 cfm for ever cubic inch is this true ?? id greatly appreciate any help in steering me in the right direction

The only reference I have seen for cfm or size requirements for electric fans was on the side of the electric fan box in the store. Just remember you may need to upgrade your alternator, add relays, a fan control and they will also need to be tied into the A/C system if you plan on running air conditioning.

im not sure about cfm wise, but i have a part store 16 puller (a similar fan on ebay is claiming 2500cfm but it sounds a bit high) on my 88 and never had a problem with cooling, even up and down colorado mountain passes
keep in mind that the only time that the electric fan is really needed is in town at low speeds, and with a cooling system that is in good shape 3510 CFM sounds a bit exsessive.
