NJ Diesel Inspection

Hey all. I have a 2003 F-250 7.3 that needs to go through inspection. My question is I know that they only check for emissions and the last time I went there with my dads Explorer, I saw them plug some wire underneath the dash near the foot pedals. I have a Bully Dog programmer where it looks like they would need to plug into to find out my emissions. Would I have to unplug this? And if I did, when I plug it back in should things go back to normal?

Any help is appreciated.

diesel truck are exempt from inspection.
just scrape the existing expired sticker off the windshield, and you are good to go.
