Turning off seat belt nag warning

Anyone know a quick and easy way to (permanently) disable the seat-belt nag warning?

I'm going to be up in the woods with my seat-belt off and don't want it driving me nuts...

Go to a junkyard and get them to cut the buckle off the belt out of a wrecked Ford. Then buckle the beltless buckle for whenever you want to ride with out your seatbelt on.

Please see the second post of this thread:

You will have to do each front seat seperately, so if you have a passenger without a belt on, that seat will have to be done as well as your driver's seat. The two are not linked.

Jason: Don't mean to be "Duddly Downer" here yet, Feel I would be remis if I did not say this; I realize that "Seatbelts" at times can be a pain however, As for me I would prefer that you remain safe at all times, Which means you should alway's wear your seatbelt while riding in your Truck.
Yeah! I know all the troubles with doing so yet, I have also seen going without it for just one time and sure enough! An accident even in the woods and then my Friend , There you are all banged up,broke up etc just for the onetime feel of no seatbelt...

It's your life my Friend yet, Do you honestly feel that it's worth it?? If you can say yes to this, More power too you! Hope you don't mind my sharing my opinion here...

Be Safe rather than Sorry is a good rule of thumb... "Burma Shave"..

All the Best ; D(iBear) & Ozzie

D -

I'm with Jason on this one. In about 3 weeks blackpowder season opens here in VA. There are times when we're back on the property that I don't buckle up...crawling around the fireroads at 5mph...and it's a pain to sit there and listen to the chime every 15 seconds or so.

I have yet to turn off the chime...rather I just buckle the belt before I get in and sit on the buckled belt. I do the same for the passenger seat. Once we are off the property and on blacktop then the belts are worn.

Looks like the manual method's not going to work for me without going to the dealership first: one of the belt's is malfunctioning. Aren't there some wires I can cut/fuse or something, instead?

I'm gonna be on national forest roads and am too young to need the reminder during non-hunting driving...
