the motor revs up as the speed goes up. As in flooring it implies that it goes from 1000rpm to 2300rpm. For example, if I floor it, the rpms only go up like 200 rpm, not bring it up to the redline. Plus it only revs to 2500 rpm before I change gears around 2300. When driving it I cannot floor it so to speak but wait for my spped to climb. But during that time, an 18 wheeler can pass my with my foot to the floor. That is why I posted this thread
This was done at the timeof head gasket replacement. Head gasket was blown. Since I was having a problem with the truck idling, I had a machine shop do those to see if a partial rebuild may help me. It did, although not a lot when driving
I have a 5.0 with a ZF as well and it is slow, but thats because the 5.0 has no power.
Is the problem in 4hi and 4lo? Seems dumb but with the lack of info provided I am grabbing straws. You arent running around in 4lo wondering why you are only doing 10 mph? Just asking?
I use 2wd 99% of the time. It just seems rediculously slow
