Heads up (new font wheel bearings)

When you replace your front wheel bearing hubs make sure the fekkin things have been greased properly, considering they are a NON serviceable unit the dip****s that put em together DONT always grease em up.

After a week of running my new hubs,a nasty squeaking scraping noise started, pulled the drivers side 1 off and was going to replace it with my old 1(that was still in good nick) and take the new 1 back too i bought it,BUT once i had the new on the bench i noticed the inner needle bearing was rusty and very dry

So rubbed some castrol high temperature bearing grease into it for about 10 minutes whilst turning it,WUCKA squealing noise gone.

I think i now know why my drivers side wheel bearings collapsed and the passenger side is still tight and very good (spare now) because the morons who assemble these hubs cant be bothered too add grease some times.

Picture of failed bearing hub,DRY as a nuns you know what

Picture of passenger side bearing hub still in top nick very wet and greasy, like 18 year olds first you know what.

Take 5 minutes and sus out your new wheel bearing hubs before you put them in,then you wont have too waist time pulling it all apart again...

kthxbye

is that a 27MHz CB in the background?? hahaha don't see them rigs much these days

A few mechanic mates of mine all hate the front wheel bearings on the new F-trucks because as soon as you take them onto a mine site they get caked full of fine red powder and collapse. That's purely what I've been told though. I've never owned one, let alone driven or worked on one that's been up there in the Pilbara.

Don't you HATE that though.... supposedly a new part, "ready to bolt-on" except it's not. Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!
