92 F150 Shackle Flip and Ford 9" Questions.
I am flipping the rear shackle buckets on my F150. How much lift should that give me? I'm needing to gain about 5-6". What about F350 springs with a few leaves taken out?
Also I am putting in a Ford 9". How would you go about getting a working speedometer?
Any and all help is appreciated.

the shackle flip alone should net about 4.5" you will want some zero rate blocks/wedges to the rear axle is centered. if you tow I wouldnt recommend going with a shackle flip.
why are you wanting to swap in a 9"? to relocate the tone ring sensor setup is about $300-400 for the kit.
what are your goals and plans for the rig? what size tires are you planning to run?

You need the rear axle speed sensor for correct engine and transmission operation more than anything if the truck has an auto trans, so you'll be better off finding an F250 to pull the 10.25 from than an old 9" since you'll also be needing the front axle from that F250 shortly when you break the D44.

Does anybody know when they started using speed sensors in the diff. on 3/4 ton trucks? My budy has an 86 F250 axle set sitting in Phoenix. If I could swap that stuff in that would be awesome. Could I change the front 3/4 ton diff over to coil springs by mounting the stuff from my D44 on it?

LOL,
slow way down and do some research man. the Sterling 10.25 will have the speed sensor starting around 1990 just to be sure but best to find from similar year to the rig you own now.
next you will need 4.88's to 5.13 gears to move those size tires.
also you will need to either do a solid axle D44 or D60 swap.
now all this can change slightly if you move down to 35-36" tires, you will still need at least 4.88 gears but you can keep your front TTB setup and do an 8 lug conversion. sterling should still be in the plans for strength.
