It is kinda cold this week/weekend! I used to think this wasn't bad when we first moved down here lol. Dawn has to work all weekend till late into the night. She got a new job at the Kentucky speedway. Wish I could find something in my field (that wasn't all production welding) on this side of the river. I hate production work, I live for the challenge of custom fabbing as my truck shows lol.

Don't everybody speak all at once!!! Hey Buck! I have been very busy. Nothing but work and going to soccer and now basketball games with my 8 year old. I was in Albany, Ky yesterday. First time I had ever been there. When I left, I came up 127 all the way to the BG Pky. I drove across the Wolf Creek Dam. I had never been to that part of the Cumberland Lake. Those guys have their hands full trying to stop that leak. I bet that lake is down 30 or 40 feet. The funny thing about Albany is that you are about 20 miles from Dale Hollow Lake, and about 15 miles from Cumberland Lake. I was at Thoroughbred Houseboats replacing a spindle on one of their boat trailers. The smallest houseboat they make is 19'X100'. I think 24'X120' is the biggest they make. I didn't ask them the price. The lightest one weighs at just over 100,000lbs. I wish I had time to go inside one of them that they were building. Did you know that Somerset, Monticello, Burnside, Albany, really that whole area around Lake Cumberland is known as the houseboat capital of the world.
Things are going well. Travis got done with my truck, but I haven't had time to go get it! He's driving it just to make sure there are no problems with it. He bought a 6 speed, and if it acted up again, he was going to pull it and put the 6 speed in. Hind sight being what it is, we would have gone that route given the problems he/we had.
Glad to hear all is well. Dawn loves the whole house boat thing. I then reminder her that in the winter the air coming in off a large body of water is pretty cold and she drops the idea lol. I hope that truck of yours does you right this time lol I really hate it when I am without my baby.

between classes , clinical s and family, I don't have time to catch a breath. That and my son has been fighting pneumonia for the past 2.5 weeks. so no sleep for mom and dad. I do occasionally get a chance to shoot the poop with Wes on FB every so often as I escape on it to take a breather.

Well, I finally got my truck back from Travis!!!! I'm going to drive it for a week or so before putting my equipment back on it from my brothers truck, but it drives and shifts just fine! I haven't got the bill yet, but Travis assured me that there will be a major price adjustment because of how long it took, and because I didn't pressure him too much while he got a lot of other work done ahead of it.
He also put some tunes in this thing. one of which would enable it to out run my blue truck!! Yes, it is a fun tune, but not necessary for a work truck! The tow tunes work just fine in it.
congrats on getting your truck back! It has been a while, what did he have to do to the tranny to fix it?

Well, the truck was put on the back burner for a couple months because Travis got covered up with a lot of work that was more pressing. Since I had a spare truck to use, I didn't push him to fix it. As to what was wrong with the tranny, pretty much the only thing original is the case! Several gears were torn up, the pump was shot, and the valve body had something wrong with it too. Never found out what it was with the valve body, but after dropping the tranny 2 times and replacing everything except the valve body and it was still not right, he just swapped the valve body with one out of another tranny sitting in his shop and installed the transgo kit out of mine and the problem is gone.
