Front speakers acting up 2007

Front speakers sometimes do not work. I would shut the car off for a while get back in and the speakers will work. The truck is equipped with the dual play option. Worst is that when my kids have their headphones on my front speakers will not work sometimes.
Not sure what it is. HELP.

Do left and right speakers go in and out at the same time?

Yes. Both go out the same time. When I turn the car back on, usually it's fixed.

That is more than likely the head unit. Are you under warranty? if not you can pick these up on Ebay for around $100. Make sure it's the correct model.
