Agreed. They are more of second truck or play truck. Man do they look good though. I'd like a one ton SRW version similar to the 3/4 ton Power Wagon but with an oil burner

Totally Disagree. Putting more weight on the nose of that truck would be awful. Not to mention that the suspension required to make it a "true 1 ton" would be exactly opposite of what it has now.

the Power Wagon is a neat truck, but it's built for a totally different purpose than the Raptor. I hope Ford never tries to make the Raptor into anything like the power wagon.

New wheels definitely add some flare. And I believe the concept of them is more weight is centered in the wheel, to help with balance and prevent damage to the wheel by debris.

I want to know how the Torsen front differential works. Gotta be a mechanical limited slip, but it transfers power to the wheel with better traction. Wonder if there is anything electronic in there..

Step son just got a 6.2L Crew in black.... No way in hades will he use it as designed, but the image/function fits him like a glove !

Macho on the outside, but the interior and electronics and stock performance was SOMETHING that impressed us, even just having purchased a brand new Audi with all the bells and whistles!

Those 35" tires are massive but look just right on it !

He walked into his... had a nice 150 King ranch that had hail damage and he put it into the ford dealer for repairs and also some engine maintenance while in there...
after 6 weeks in the shop, $10k in repairs, he drives it home and the engine seizes !!!!

of COURSE, nothing they did caused that

even though he went back up there late Friday, stayed until 11 PM "discussing" it with them, they weren't budging....

He called two of his childhood teammates.... one his IT guy with his laptop, and another his companies lawyer, and the discussion continued with examples of their web presence and the litigation costs to follow ....

They finally capitulated and offered him $20k for his truck, and he got the new truck that just came in the day before....

The salesman, gm, and owner were crying since they knew they HAD to do it and the few raptors they got in had been selling for sticker or above to the other yuppies in north dallas !

the sync system is light years ahead of what our $3000 Audi navigation/Media system option is !!

Talk to text, windows based !!! Slick ! If I were many years younger .......

It's right up there with the image his company projects, and the mpg is acceptable for him even at the 11 or so he is getting right now showing off !

Sounds awesome. I personally don't see a purpose for all the add-ons, even though I understand its all in one package. Bluetooth, wifi, talk to text, all that crap I can do without. I like the touchscreen and nav, definitely an industry leader. Haven't driven one myself, though I'd love to, but I bet it has an amazing sound system, especially with the built in subwoofer.

The only reason anyone would wait in buying this truck is $$$. Although, a 33rd mortgage sounds pretty tempting at this point :O :P
