Upgrade to Heated Mirrors
#16
Ok, from what I understand the heated mirrors CAN be hooked up to a switch so you can manually turn them on and off when needed, correct ? Would this apply to the newer style mirrors too ?
I'm thinking of ordering a set from 1A Auto, cut off the factory connection plug and wire up what I need manually since my truck does not have any power mirror wiring in the door.
As for hooking up the running lights and turn signals on these mirrors, it has dawned on me that the idea of tapping into the trucks running and turn signal wiring might be possibility due to the fact of the trailer plug might be on that wiring system as well, if this is the case then I don't see how the BCM can monitor this channel (or group of channels) since there is no way that Ford and/or the BCM will know exactly how many lights will be plugged into that circuit, as different trailers have different amount of lights.
Am I correct here, or is all this still a no go for me?
