Intake Plenum Inserts......BY RIFFRAFF OF COURSE!!!

I've had them for awhile, was doing a little turbo work and put them in. What a great product and a great mod! My intake tubes were coned in from previous clamping, took the inserts and they just tapped in slick as snot! NOW I can clamp as hard as I wantoo within reason.

I've had them installed for about 2 years now. GREAT mod. I deleted the factory plumbing straps and went with T bolts, Crank them down TIGHT now.

Take that screen out of there too...

Yes you can. Much easier to do with the plenums out but it can be done with them in the truck.

What are the benefits of doing it.

They dont seem to be hurting anything,

I disagree, drop a bolt in the intakes without those screens there and tell me whether or not it hurts. Cheap insurance if you ask me.

I know of a truck that sucked one of those screens into a valve on cylinder number 5 after it some how broke the welds

If you have the intake off then the holes should be covered or a rag stuffed in the hole. If it was me I would just leave the screens in. There not hurting anything and if you can tell a diff with them removed say on a dyno then it might be a good mod. But its up to you.

Standard operation for me is to stuff both with rags when the intake Y is removed... If you drop a bolt down there, you should be hit with a hammer...

I've never seen that, but I have seen them pushed down inside the intake.
