Im jealous, I havent found an orginal dash pad that is the condition of yours. All I find are cracked ones......some day, I just might break down and buy an aftermarket.

Nicde score! 3 weeks ago I failed to pick one out of a 75. It was original but was green and still was kind of soft.

Yeah I was going through the local Pull a Part and saw it....I figured it was a repo but when I took it out......it was original stamping on the back. best part was I was told it would be 27 bucks and when I went to pay they only wanted 15!!!!!!!

Okay, I know a lot of people don't like green, but I'm keeping my truck the original green interior, and painting it a metallic green on the outside as well. If you see any green interior pieces, mainly dash and door panels, please let me know! Thanks.

Got some more pics tonight when I had the help of my Bro-in-law and father-in-law out to help with the truck. Between the three of us, they were able to get on one side of the cab and I (6'6 280) on the other side, were able to take it off the frame.....

So how hard is it to remove a seized engine from a transmission??? When my bro in law opened up the oil pan about 4 gallons of crystal clear water dropped out.....yeah, no fun at all, but it's all good because I'm going to drop a create motor in her. But that just means that I won't be driving her this year......

You wont pull the bolts that you can torque converter will be stuck to the motor for ever, Unless its still a stick just unbolt it and wiggle.

Nice truck just be careful with the stainless side trim act like its a baby and protect it the stuff is mega bucks to replace! If the wrecking yard you got the dash from has the trim get it for spares!! I have two trucks worth extra just in case.

Looking good!

That's just the regular spring shackle, nothing fancy or special. They're not adjustable.
Here's what it'll look like all cleaned up and painted.
BTW, nice progress. Keep it up.

Thanks Mike......cant wait till the day I am as far along as you! your build has been an inspiration to keep me going. I only get about 4-5 hours max to work on it. but I def try and get as much done as possible. What sandblaster did you use? I am looking for a affordable way to do some of the blasting myself. and once again THANKS!!!

I bought a 100 lb unit from Harbor Freight. I also have an Ingersol-Rand 5HP compressor with an 80 gal tank to power it. Even that couldn't really keep up with the demand. But I was able to do a satisfactory job on the frame, it just took a little longer than if I had a larger compressor.

Nice progress so far. Don't sweat the small stuff like trim. I have a few extra sets in my garage for emergencies. Just let me know if things go poorly. It looks great so far. Good luck.
