Yes Another TFT question 2004 6.0 shift problems PLEASE HELP

Ok I've been dealing with this for over a year now but I have finally become fed up.

My truck runs perfect, shifts perfect with one exception.

If I put my truck in tow/haul It will mis shift 2-3 and light will blink but will remain in tow/haul. after I get through all of the gears and go back to complete stop. It never EVER does it again.

If It is Hot outside (GA heat) the truck will slip out of gear completely between 2-3 and will go right back to normal when continuing to drive. Light will flash and then I never EVER have the issue again that day.

Can this be TFT related? I have been told by certain "experts" that it can be related. Could it really be that simple?

thanks for any help, It is really annoying. I would enjoy my truck so much more with this problem fixed.

You need to get the codes read to find out what's wrong. Guessing is just going to waste time and money.

I have had them read and it literally told us nothing. All it said was "incorrect gear ratio". That is all it said. I don't remember the code but it has been read and cleared several times and it continues to be the same code.

Make sure you preform the Trans learning sequence in both regular and tow/haul.

should I reset the TCM before doing this and what is the procedure for that? Should I go ahead and replace that sensor? Is that a symptom of a bad TFT sensor? thanks

No, that is not a symptom of a bad TFT sensor. The usual symptom of a bad TFT sensor is that the transmission temperature gauge suddenly goes all the way hot or all the way cold.

If I knew what code was set I might be able to point you in the right direction.

I really don't think it's your problem, but here is how to change the TFT sensor.
