thanks guys. this is some really good info. didnt know it could cause it to burn form over heating. I will look at it tomorrow.

Notice...They'll burn fine, untill the bulbs get warmed up..Then its 1971 all over again...

I too believe it to be the switch. Once you get it working right, I suggest using relays to run the headlights. Make sure you use a good fuse for their power wire. This will take the load of the lights off of the switch and provide more voltage to the bulbs at the same time which can make them a little brighter too. You can make your own or buy a relay setup from Bronco Graveyard or LMC Truck.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but yesterday i went to drive my truck and the head lights would not turn on at all. The orange running lights for both my plow lights and the truck orange running lights turn on. The roof lights and the rear running lights turn on. I have looked through many different threads and can't really find one similar. The plow lights were hooked up the a switch that has 6 plugs. when i flipped the switch it would turn the truck head lights off and the plow head lights on. neither is turning on now. Could this be a headlight switch too?
