Why wouldn't you want to get rid of the DPF/DOC? That was the first thing I did and the result was an additional 10mpg and 500 degrees lower EGT's. The radiator isn't dealer only. Mine was $788, you got ripped.
Whether you like it or not it was good that these items went out it actually saved you money on DD costs and the coolant should be replaced @ 100k anyways. If you want to talk about repair bills go buy a first gen 6.0 ha.

My 6.4 has been very good. I have 77K on it and it runs great. Got to do the maintance. Got to check your fluids all the time.

that is what I do and has served me well.

Still have my orginal radiator too.

How do you know that is your issue? What codes appear. Limp mode could mean a few different things. It is a powertrain protection mode..so it could be a transmission issue or an EGR issue.

Who have you taken it to that they have no idea what is wrong? Did you take it to a service dealer who knows about diesels? A Ford dealer? Did you take it to someone who has the proper equipment to access the PCM and see what codes there were?

Well, before we say that is the problem what codes are being thrown?
The hpfp is the last resort because it is a cab off repair and costs around $3500. Not many can do this repair in there driveway.

I hear ya, just write them all down then delete them. Let us know what you got. The next time it falls into limp mode think about what you were doing. Like we're you pulling a hill, were you on the throttle hard, warm/cold and so on.

Ok got 2 codes.
P2123 throttle pedal position sensor switch D circuit high.
P1000 systems readiness test not complete.
I cleared them but still got wrench on the dash so still in limp mode. Limp mode used to come on after truck was warm not towing or anything. Then I would shut truck off and it would go away, but would come back after little while. Now it's just stuck on. I disconnected batteries for an hr but that didnt work either. Do u know how to fix what codes say? Don't know what readiness test is.

the other one is a sensor. I will have to look into that more. But my guess is on the throttle body.

Since you cleared the codes but the wrench is still on it may or maynot be in limp mode.

Getting ready to go to a function for my youngest right now but I can look later and try to locate it for you.

Google may help.

It will fall in to limp mode if the pedal sensor isn't sending the proper signal. The throttle sensor is the pedal assembly. I believe it's sold as a unit. If you look at your throttle pedal you will see the sensor.
